2006-10-11:  Weekly Meeting Notes, General Update

The weekly meeting was attended by several honored members who were invited as observers in addition to the usual members of the Board:

• A former head of the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) was presented with the “Now You Know” CD and can see immediate application to the plight of the indigenous people, especially with regard to reconciling ancestral domain issues with the Torrens System of land titling. We’re pretty sure we’ll be working with this individual more in the near future.
• A member of the national wedding photographers association related how he surreptitiously distributed numerous copies of the CD to other members at their recent meeting at the legislature. He also has plans to convert the CD to a DVD for even broader distribution.
• A certain Bishop who seems to have grasped the reality and significance of the Foundation also joined the meeting, along with “B”, a lady who has worked diligently to put the “Know You Know” CD in the hands of some prominent political figures.

We thank all of our guest attendees for the voluntary contribution of time and energy. This week, information packages and copies of the CD are being delivered to the editors-in-chief of all major newspapers in the country. We do not expect a favorable reaction but the Foundation’s progress is certainly NEWS-worthy.
